Transparent waters, mesmerising fine sand – great for families
Santa Margherita di Pula beach (Spiaggia di Santa Margherita di Pula) belongs to the Pula community and is located just behind the village of the same name, just about 7 kilometers east of Domus de Maria and 5 km from Chia. This area consists of several beaches, all conveniently located parallel to the state road SS 195.
With a length of 2600 meters, this beach is the longest stretch of sand on the west side of Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia. White sand with pink shades and shallow waters make Santa Margherita di Pula beach an ideal location for families with small children. On a windy day, Santa Margherita di Pula beach becomes very popular among the surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing crowd.
Many villas and touristic resorts hide under the dense and cooling pine forest, which is surrounded by an interesting mix of agricultural land. The beach can be accessed from several entry points, such as the small harbour of Cala Verde, Stella Marina, Perla Marina, Riva dei Pini and Cala Marina. All beaches are equipped with services incuding the rental of beach umbrellas, canoes, and jet skis, as well as several bars and restaurants.
